Registering COM Interop

Many times it happens that you create a DLL that needs to be called from unmanaged code, but it is not registered by your setup file.

To fix this problem, remove the entry that says "Output from primary 'ProjectName'".
Now, right mouse click on the setup project and click on "Add File". Browse for the DLL created by your project in the BIN directory. The setup project detects and dependancies and adds the necessary files.
Last this is just to set the 'ProjectName'.DLL file's Register Property to COM, and exclude all the dependancies that you don't need to distribute.
When you now build your setup and distribute it, your DLL will be registered for use with unmanaged code.
